One of the main attractions in Auckland is Kelly Tarlton's, an indoor aquarium where you get to walk in a glass tunnel with the fish around you. They also have an Antarctica house, with memorabilia from Scott's fatal attempt at racing Amundsen to the South Pole and a nice penguin section. I have to admit that the penguins were pretty impressive with their bright and strict colors, though I am still under the influence of that Happy Feet movie.

They also have lots of other aquariums, with some really weird fish, as well as a stingray basin, where you can step into a pool fool of stingrays (though they have never stung anyone), and youcan even step into it (if you can afford money wise, that is).
